Shida Azari is an Iranian painter whose work explores themes of femininity, identity, and social tension within contemporary Iranian culture. Her bold, expressive paintings blend figuration and symbolism, creating powerful reflections of both personal and collective experience.
Azari holds a BA in Painting from the Tehran University of Art and an MFA from Azad University. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including in Italy, Japan, Taiwan, Kuwait, the UAE, Australia, and the United States.
Her paintings are held in the permanent collections of the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Tama Art University Museum in Tokyo, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tehran.
