This painting is from my series that I call, The Holographic Universe, a series about the Human Experience. Being French Canadian and some days Quebecois, I do strongly Identify as French. This painting for me represents a lot what it means. The background here is of a grouping of sculpture by Francois Rude called "La Marseillaise" on the arc the triumph in Paris. For me it represents that fire of being French and the feeling that I have to defend my culture my language at all times. The shadow of a tree represents the gentle breeze on a sunny day in love. It's the sweetness of life. I use glitter here for the sparkle of life special moments and large Swarovski crystals to depict our reality as of a holographic quality.
