Joost de Jonge (b. 1975)
Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau
Joost de Jonge is an acclaimed Dutch abstract painter whose work bridges the expressive power of color with a deeply philosophical engagement with form. Known for his richly layered compositions and lyrical sense of movement, de Jonge’s practice is informed by a lifelong dedication to art history, literature, and aesthetics.
A graduate of the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and the Academy for Visual Arts in Utrecht, de Jonge has exhibited internationally, with work placed in prominent private and institutional collections across Europe, the U.S., and the Middle East.
In 2024, de Jonge was knighted into the Order of Orange-Nassau, a national honor bestowed by the Dutch monarchy in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the arts.
His paintings have been featured in major art fairs and exhibitions worldwide and are sought after by collectors who value bold abstraction rooted in intellectual rigor. As both an artist and author, de Jonge has published critical essays and books exploring the intersection of art, poetry, and the metaphysical.
At SD Art Advisory, we are pleased to offer select works by Joost de Jonge on the secondary market — rare opportunities to acquire pieces by an artist of both conceptual depth and visual vitality.
